Tatura raise more than $10k

April 10, 2018

Tatura SES members collected money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

A big thank you to the Tatura community for its generous donation to the Good Friday Appeal.

The efforts made by multiple local community organisations concluded with a wonderful total of $10350.

Spearheaded by Tatura Lions Club member David ‘‘Taffy’’ Moreton, donations were collected by numerous businesses in the community as well as sporting clubs, local families, the CFA and SES.

The Toolamba Fishing Club and the Man Cave Madness Garage Sale also got on board raising funds for the first time.

The Tatura CFA rattled their tins at the two roundabouts, while the Tatura SES undertook street calling.

The Tatura Lions Club was involved in door knocking, as well as hosting an Easter egg raffle, won by Kim O’Toole.

‘‘I’d like to say a big thank you to the whole community,’’ Mr Moreton said.

‘‘It’s a large project, so it was a great achievement.’’

All donations will be sent to Melbourne for the benefit of children at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
